HeartCode Blended learning uses online technology not only to supplement but also to transform and improve the learning process. Successful blended learning can reach students with varying learning styles and in different environments. It is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session with an Instructor.
- The online portion Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor (approx 4 hrs)
- The online portion Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor (approx 2.5 hrs)
- Heartcode Heartsaver/ Pediatric Instructor-led hands-on session takes approx 2 hours
- The online portion of HeartCode BLS takes students approximately 90-100 minutes to complete, depending on the level of experience. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS instructor.
- HeartCode BLS Instructor-led hands-on session takes approx. 2 hours, 45 minutes or 70 minutes for experienced providers.
- The online portion of HeartCode ACLS takes approximately 6.5-7 hours to complete, depending on the student’s level of experience. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA ACLS instructor.
- HeartCode ACLS Instructor-led hands-on session takes approximately 5 hours without breaks
- The online portion of HeartCode PALS takes approximately 6-9 hours to complete, depending on the student’s level of experience. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA PALS Instructor.
- HeartCode PALS Instructor-led hands-on session takes approximately 3-4 hours without breaks.
